We are pleased to invite you to a symposium on Sustainable Funding for Rare Disease Innovation in Europe and the Nordics, co-hosted by Copenhagen Economics, Lif, and Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease on 16 September 2025, 13:00–14:30 at Scandic Hotel Copenhagen (Vester Søgade 6, Copenhagen, Denmark).
Bringing together policymakers, patient representatives, industry leaders and key opinion leaders, our objectives are to:
- Present new data and share insights on spending on ‘orphan’ rare disease medicines in Europe
- Explore the factors driving different levels of funding for rare disease medicines
- Reflect on access challenges and opportunities in the Nordics
- Foster a solutions-oriented multi-stakeholder dialogue for future policymaking on sustainable funding
